Character
Name: Della Duck
Canon: DuckTales (2017)
Canon point: Post-series
Age: Early- to mid-30s (36 according to Word of God)
History: Here!
Personality:
-Impulsive: Though she's matured a bit in this regard, Della always has, and always will, deal with a level of impulse control issues. Though she does strategize, it's not something she dedicated a lot of time to, or any when she's emotional enough. She acts fast and is also very reactive. On this note, the iconic Donald Duck temper is present in Della Duck, as well. It's not as strong, but she still gets worked up easily. This also is true for her getting excited in a happy way.
-Maternal: Above all, at the end of the day, Della is a mother. Parenthood is her calling, even if she wasn't ready for it when she started on it. But she's grown to be a truly caring mother who is (mostly, at least when it's truly important) responsible. She loves her boys and the rest of her family, and would give up anything for them. She's constantly working to be better at being a mom, and her maternal nature isn't limited to her family members.
-Clever: Della has a knack for seeing the angles of a situation and working out a plan based on them. She's also generally bright-- True, her impulsive and emotional nature often overshadows this, but she rebuilt a spaceship and her own artificial leg. Engineering and piloting/navigation are notable ways her intelligence manifests itself, even if her wisdom can be lacking.
-Determined: Della has, on more than one occasion, proclaimed that "Nothing can stop Della Duck!". This is pretty much true, she's extremely dedicated, determined, and hard-working. Sure, she likes to have plenty of fun while she's getting a job done, but all the same-- She's going to get that job done, and get it done well.
-Adventurous: Della loves to explore, treasure-hunt, and go on adventures. It's her second calling, and she has so much fun with it. Della is bold and brave, unafraid of taking risks and getting into some trouble. Her adventurous nature is fueled by thrill-seeking and curiosity, as well as a lineage of heroics she's proud to be part of.
Always Keep In Mind: Della will never be a (stereo)typical mother, but she's become a good mother. She still has some way to go, but she's really putting her all into being the best mom she can be, not to mention the best niece and sister.

What do you want to study at Diatu Magicademy?
Fantastics does sound fun, I mean, "fantastic" is right there in the name. But I gotta go with Sundering. If I'm going to learn magic, I might as well learn a formerly-forbidden lost art. I mean, that's just cool.
If you knew you could go back to the moment you left, would you leave immediately or continue your studies for a while?
Look, no offense, but I'd be going home right now if I could. Even if time's not moving back home, which - sure, I've experienced weirder... This is time away from my family. My kids! And I've never been all that big on magic, anyway.
If your enemy was at Diatu Magicademy, how would you react?
Okay, first of all, you're going to have to narrow that down some. I have a lot of enemies. Well, Uncle Scrooge does, actually, but most of these guys don't care that you're not him if you're going to get between them and him... Anyway, Ducks don't back down, you know? My family is made up of treasure-hunters, adventurers, and brave heroes! If bad news from back in Duckburg was here, I'd face 'em head-on!
When is it acceptable to resolve a dispute by force?
When you... Need to...? Sorry, buddy, I'm not pacifist. Sure, it's great when people can get along, and when they can't, I'm all for using brains to solve a problem! But- Sometimes it's just not going to work. ...Or you get too worked up to try anything but force. Either way, though. It happens.
What should the supreme goal of any wizard be?
Hopefully not world domination? I'm gonna be real, I'll have to get back to you on this when I've learned more about magic and wizard stuff. It's not something I've been around in a positive way for very much of my life, so I'm still getting used to it not being, you know, awful.

forgottentales log with Bridge, backdated
Jul. 31st, 2019 07:09 amBridge's home was the place where they'd planned to swap stories, due to the complicated hedge maze surrounding Della's own home there in The Index. Now, after their sailing adventure and all that had followed - plus a few other chance meetings here and there that had been friendly - that was where Della was, and stories were finally being exchanged.
"...But eventually we got my brother back to his normal size. It was pretty funny when he was tiny and I spilled tea on him, though," Della added in a conspiratorial whisper. "I mean, I thought so. He didn't. It was an accident, whatever, it was fine."
She paused a moment to take a bite of one of the cookies she'd brought along to share, then asked, "Hey, Bridge, you got any siblings back home?"
